I try to understand your process and future plans
I don't try to explain that to a third party
I look for quick wins first
I use off-the-shelf systems as far as I can
I build from scratch if I think you really need it
I provide or help arrange long term support

Who am I?

I have worked as a developer in big I.T. But not only in big I.T. and not only as a developer.

I have also worked in schools and universities and for corporates and non-profits, and had roles as diverse as trustee, director, employee, volunteer, teacher, researcher, writer, event manager, treasurer and project worker.

I've seen a lot of the messy business of business and I've cleaned my fair share.

I'm passionate about IT processes that create less work, not more, and that really help with meaningful tasks.
